Project details

The staircase started with old carpet on every step. The carpet and grippers were lifted and the steps prepared.

Each tread and riser was then clad with new wooden boards, cut and fitted step by step, with clean edges where the stairs meet the walls.

The same view before and after shows the change: a bright, hard-wearing staircase in place of the worn carpet.
